Terms of Use
Governing guidelines for workshop bookings, portal accounts, payments, and class rules under English law.
Last Updated: May 29, 2026
Welcome to **Kids in Techs** ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your relationship, booking arrangements, and website/portal access. By registering an account, making bookings, or attending our physical and online technology classes, you agree to comply with these terms in full.
1. Booking Contract & Payment Terms
When you book a course through our online catalog, you are submitting an offer to reserve a classroom seat for your child. The contract is finalized only under the following conditions:
- Bank Wire Transfers: Since we clear payments via bank-wire transfers, you must transfer the exact course price (e.g. £145.00) to our designated corporate account with your sorting Reference Code (e.g. KIT-[your_username]).
- Seat Confirmations: Upon receipt and statement review by our Portsmouth administrative coordinators, your dashboard registration status will change from "Payment Pending" to "Active Enrollment," and you will unlock downloadable study guide PDFs, gate passes, and certificates.
2. Cancellation & Refund Rights (UK Regulations)
In accordance with the **UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013**, you are entitled to a 14-day statutory "cooling-off" period:
- Cooling-off Refunds: You may cancel a course booking for a full refund within 14 days of making the reservation, provided the course has not yet commenced.
- Exception for Immediate Services: If the scheduled live physical workshop or interactive digital lab starts before the 14-day cancellation window expires, you acknowledge that you are requesting the services to begin immediately, and your right to cancellation will be waived once the class officially starts.
- Hampshire Headquarter Cancellations: To request a cancellation, please email **hello@kidsintechs.co.uk** with your username, course title, and booking reference code. Cleared refunds will be processed via direct bank wire within 14 working days.
3. Safe Environment & Student Conduct Code
To ensure all children enjoy a supportive, creative, and safe learning environment, we enforce strict behavioural guidelines:
- Zero-Tolerance Bullying: Cyber-bullying, physical aggression, hate speech, or harassment directed at instructors, facilitators, or classmates will result in immediate suspension and deactivation of the portal account without refund.
- Equipment Handling: Children are expected to handle physical computing components, microcontrollers, and motor shields with care. Parents may be held liable for intentional damage to Portsmouth hardware systems.
- Check-in Passes: Students must present a printed or digital A4 gate admission ticket (`ticket.php`) at the classroom entrance for student tracking and child security clearances.
4. Portal Accounts & Intellectual Property
All dashboard content, study guides, interactive games, and certificate designs are intellectual property owned by or licensed to Kids in Techs UK Ltd.
- You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable license to download study PDF documents for your registered child's personal education.
- You must keep portal account credentials confidential and prevent unauthorized logins. We reserve the right to deactivate accounts demonstrating suspicious login patterns.
5. Limitations of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our direct negligence;
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- Any other liability which cannot be excluded under statutory English law.
Subject to the above, we will not be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, nor for any failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
6. Governing Law & English Jurisdiction
These Terms, their subject matter, and their formation are governed by English law. You and Kids in Techs UK Ltd both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of our educational services.
